The Cathedral is open for prayer, worship and quiet reflection during these hours:
Monday-Friday 9 AM - 2 PM
Saturday 9 AM - 6 PM
Sunday 8 AM - 1 PM
We are located at Jay Street and Cathedral Place, one block north of Tillary Street.
By Subway:
Take the A, C, F or R train to Jay Street-Metrotech Station. Walk down Jay Street away from Fulton Street for 2 blocks. Saint James is one block past Tillary Street, on the right.
OR:
Take the 2, 3, 4 or 5 train to Borough Hall. Walk down Cadman Plaza East away from Borough Hall and turn right on Tillary Street. Turn left at Jay Street. Saint James is one block past Tillary Street, on the right.
The Cathedral has Wheelchair Access at all times via a ramp on the Chapel Street side of the church.
ASL interpretation is provided for the Sunday Mass at 11 AM for Deaf Catholics.
Parishioners with an intolerance to gluten are offered the possibility of receiving Communion with low-gluten hosts. Interested parishioners should speak with one of the priests.
The Cathedral is open daily during the week for prayer and quiet visits from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Additionally, visiting groups are always most welcome. We would be happy to accommodate requests from parishes, schools or other groups for a guided tour or a liturgical celebration, such as Mass. Interested groups should contact the Parish Office to make a formal request.
